We are Enough!!
Michael Anderson | Founder
Michael Anderson is the founder of Anderson Hustle Athletics, bringing more than 20 years of experience working with children, students, and athletes to his passion for early childhood movement and sports. His journey began volunteering at summer camps and in his mother’s classroom and grew through years of working in preschools, before- and after-school programs, athletic centers, and elementary and special education classrooms.
A lifelong athlete and coach, Michael has always believed that sports and movement can be about much more than learning a skill or winning a game. They are opportunities for children to discover confidence, resilience, courage, empathy, and the belief that they are capable of more than they may have thought. His experiences as an educator, coach, and special education teacher have shaped his belief that every child—regardless of ability—deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and pride that come from trying something new and discovering what they can do.
Michael’s perspective has been especially shaped by his extensive work with students with cognitive, developmental, physical, behavioral, and learning needs. With degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, he developed a deep understanding of how to support children with a wide range of needs. Throughout his years teaching general education, his experience and empathy often led him to work closely with students receiving special education services, particularly those with behavioral and learning challenges. These experiences taught him the importance of meeting each child where they are, providing the right support, and celebrating growth—whether it is a huge breakthrough or a very small step forward.
That philosophy inspired one of Michael’s favorite traditions with his students. He would ask, “Who’s enough?” and the room would respond, “Me! Me! ME!” It became a simple but powerful reminder that every person has value and deserves to believe in themselves. Through Anderson Hustle Athletics, Michael hopes to create those same moments of wonder, joy, and discovery for every Mighty Mover—helping children learn from mistakes, build perseverance, celebrate their growth, and discover that “I can do this—and I am enough.”
